HOMEPAGE FOR CHANGE

There’s a serious lack of BIPOC representation in the arts. You can see it in every design studio, ad agency, and art gallery.
That’s why Juliet created Homepage For Change. They’re turning their website’s homepage into a platform for BIPOC students to show off their work. And like true artists – they’re paying them for it.

how it works

BIPOC students are invited to submit a piece of their work to homepageforchange.com. Whether that’s a photo they took, a photo of a sculpture they made – or even a haiku they wrote. Once all the work is submitted, the agency selects a piece to feature on their homepage at wearejuliet.com. Along with getting their work published, the selected student also receives a $2000 grant to help kickstart their creative career.

EGM Girl Power

Only 15% of Manitoba’s newly licensed engineers are women. A first for the Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba, the org partnered with school boards across the province to empower students to become an army of change – so we created their uniform. Shopify helped us control who was able to purchase a series of specially-designed shirts, asking students to solve a challenging math or science-based problem printed on the tee. Posters also petitioned organizations to improve their hiring practices and set a goal to employ 30% women engineers by 2030.

Hotels.com: Winter Swear Jar

Hotels.com Winter Swear Jar

In 2017, Hotels.com helped Canadians hating on winter escape somewhere warm by creating The Winter Swear Jar, a social campaign that turns negative social posts about winter into money that goes towards sending people on warm, wonderful vacations.

In 2019, they wanted to help folks in America do the same this time with a little more push.

We wanted Captain Obvious to report LIVE from the coldest regions in the States, but that would have meant shooting outside in white-out conditions. Instead, we used the good ol’ “green screen” trick to create a series of targeted content videos that promoted the campaign and hashtag.

All “fucks” given

At the end of the campaign, we revealed on the website and via social that we’d been keeping a separate jar just for “fucks”. All money collected from tweets containing the word “fuck” went into the Winter Care Jar, which was then donated to Operation Warm to provide winter coats for kids in need.
